School Parliament
Our Pupil Parliament gives children a genuine voice in shaping school life.
Representatives from every class gather the views of their classmates before meeting regularly to discuss ideas, celebrate successes and help improve our school.
By listening to children’s views and acting on their ideas, we promote Article 12 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child – every child has the right to have their views heard and taken seriously.
There are a variety of roles which all play an integral part in the running of the school:
- School Council

- Junior Road Safety Officers (JRSO)
- Peer Mediators (Buddies)
- Librarians

What does Pupil Parliament do?
Our Pupil Parliament works with staff to:
- improve our school community
- promote inclusion and wellbeing
- support our Rights Respecting School journey
- organise fundraising and community projects
- celebrate diversity and equality
- help make positive changes across the school.

Through Pupil Parliament, children learn to:
- listen respectfully to others
- share ideas confidently
- work collaboratively
- make democratic decisions
- help everyone feel safe, included and valued.
